I recently had the pleasure of working on a very special project – far away from Berlin, on the picturesque island of Rügen in the Baltic Sea. The brief: a detached bungalow with a garden was to be professionally presented in the right light – from above, from inside and even interactively. My client’s wish was something along the lines of: “Everything once, please.”
And that’s exactly what he got.
Real estate photography that shows more than just rooms
The single-family home in bungalow style impressed with its clear architecture, open interior design and, above all, its quiet location. Properties like this deserve more than just standard photos – they demand images that convey atmosphere.
With professional interior and exterior photography, I not only made the floor plan visible, but also captured lighting moods, lines of sight and special details.
Change of perspective: drone shots for an overview
Especially for detached houses with land, the view from above is worth its weight in gold. Drone photography can show not only the location in the surrounding area, but also the spaciousness of the garden, the roof architecture and even the course of the sun in daylight.
Rügen offered the perfect setting for this: blue water on the horizon, a green neighborhood, a quiet street – all captured from the air.
Matterport tour: virtual experience instead of static images
The highlight of this project was the virtual tour with Matterport 3D technology. This allows interested parties to view the entire property online – almost as if they were on site. What is particularly exciting is that the virtual tour not only includes the interior of the house, but also the garden area. This creates a complete impression of the property and lifestyle.
This is a huge advantage, especially for vacation homes, properties on islands or locations that are difficult to access – both for estate agents and prospective buyers.
Conclusion: When professional presentation makes the difference
This project has shown once again: High-quality real estate deserves a high-quality presentation. And anyone who wants to sell or rent out their house or apartment benefits enormously when images, drone perspectives and virtual tours work together harmoniously.
